JESSICA USHERWOOD

The Jim & Diane Muss Chair

Soprano Jessica Usherwood is an active performer and soloist. With the International Chamber Artists, she has presented several works including William Bolcom’s Let Evening Come, André Previn’s Honey and Rue, Eric Whitacre’s Five Hebrew Love Songs, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Mozart’s Requiem, Britten’s Les Illuminations, Ginastera’s Cantos Del Tucumán, Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915, Morton Feldman’s Journey To The End Of Night, and the Eric Malmquist’s If You Travel Far Enough.

Jessica holds a doctoral degree in Voice Performance and Literature from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. She earned a professional diploma in opera and master of music degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. She is currently serving as Visiting Assistant Professor of Voice at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
