Why should you choose ICA for your concert-going experience? If you find classical music cold, uninviting, or all sounding the same, an ICA performance can offer you an alternate reality. One listen will change your experience of classical music. You will be welcomed at the door and invited to feel at home with the music. ICA musicians enjoy introducing some of the pieces to help get you inside the piece before the performance. ICA musicians are among the best in the Chicago area, dedicated to presenting performances driven by the highest standards of artistic excellence.
One of our goals is to reach out to as many potential audience members as we can, so that people experience ICA's excellence. We’d like you to join our "Bring a Patron" program this season. Here is how it works. If you are a regular ICA attendee, our hope is that you will want to share what you have found in ICA with your friends and family. Invite them to come to a concert. If they enjoyed themselves, encourage them to pay it forward by inviting one of their friends to the next ICA event.
In an effort to make classical music accessible to as many people as possible, we don’t charge for tickets to our St. Gregory’s performances. We trust that those that can’t afford to pay will come anyway, those that are able to give will do so handsomely, and that all will be inspired by hearing ICA’s music. Thank you for your generosity.
A couple thank you’s are in order, first to our volunteers. We wouldn’t be able to thrive without the support of volunteers. I’d also like to thank St. Gregory’s and the Church of the Holy Spirit for hosting us year after year. We are honored to be able to perform in such exquisite and acoustically delightful spaces.
Please join us after the St. Gregory concerts at Ranalli’s of Andersonville to “Meet and Greet the Musicians.” Ranalli’s is located just a few blocks south of St. Gregory’s at 1512 W Berwyn, 60640, between Clark and Ashland. For $15 at the door, you’ll be able to enjoy dinner awaiting you. A portion will be donated back to ICA, including takeout orders. Thanks for your support this season and I look forward to seeing you at Ranalli’s after the concerts to celebrate the gift of togetherness!
Yours in music,
Patrick Godon
